ITHACA, N.Y. – The Bombers, ranked a season-best 11th in the coaches’ poll, defeated #20 Lycoming 35-3 in their first dual meet of the season. Sophomore Jon Gregory (Phillipsburg/Phillipsburg, N.J.) led the way with a 16-3 major decision at 125 pounds, improving to 9-4 on the season. Freshman Blaine Woszczak (Wall/Manasquan, N.J.) also won by major decision by a 12-1 margin at 149 pounds.

 

Sophomore Joe Goetz (Sewanhaka/ New Hyde Park) recorded a 4-2 overtime decision at 285 pounds and sophomore John Dale (North Penn/Lansdale, Pa.) posted a 9-3 decision at 165 pounds. Freshman Nick Sanko (Hamburg Area/Lenhartsville, Pa.) recorded another decision at 157 pounds, winning by a score of 6-1.

 

Freshman David Priest (Wyomissing/Douglassville, Pa.) and sophomore Chad Winowich (Abington Heights/Clarks Summit, Pa.) each posted 3-1 decisions at 174 pounds and 133 pounds, respectively.

 

Sophomore Will Horwath (Liberty/Bethlehem, Pa.), currently ninth at 141 pounds, improved his season record to 8-4 with a forfeit win. Freshman Brandon Stark (Central Bucks South/ Warrington, Pa.) also won by forfeit at 184 pounds.

 

The Bombers will host Oswego Saturday at 1 p.m. at Ben Light Gymnasium.
